Taylor Momsen's New Band The Pretty Reckless Held It Down In Hollywood

Taylor Momsen hit Hollywood tonight, with big black high-lace boots, a red lace slip dress, red lipstick, a black leather jacket, a chain with a cross around her neck and a band of three boys called The Pretty Reckless. Taylor was most certainly looking pretty, but reckless she was not. Taylor Momsen is in fact a performer and she proved her part as a lead singer in The Pretty Reckless tonight.

Although Taylor is just 15, she carries herself a bit more like a 19 year old girl, maybe even 21 with a good fake-id. Lucky for Taylor she has a good stylist to start her off on the right track. After all, the last thing the music industry needs is another Britney Spears claiming "oops I did it again" in a plaid school girl kilt trying to fool us all that she is innocent. Taylor's style and movements on stage tell us all, this 15 year old is certainly hiding nothing and holding nothing back when it comes to her music career. Her voice screams ambition and her smile yells dedication and fun.

The audience at The Music Box tonight was not screaming go Gossip Girl or "we love you little J", they were yelling "Taylor you are beautiful" and "we love The Pretty Reckless." This was kind of impressive to hear that Taylor already has fans for her music, since she has yet to debut her album. Which by the way, we can expect a release in early Fall '09. The Pretty Reckless put on a great performance, super young, but they certainly have a wild and entertaining stage presence. Taylor has down just the right moves to get a rouse out of the crowd and out of her bandmates, especially John on guitar, who I expect has a little boy crush everytime Taylor rubs him up and down while she sings.

Well, props to Taylor Momsen for putting on a great show, as the opening act for The Veronicas. It will be exciting to watch Taylor's music career develop and Buzznet will be sure to keep you updated.
