Behind Closed Doors: Rian Dawson Of All Time Low Goes By RiGuy, RiBread, Riri, Ri Daw, Dawson

Since the drummers in most bands are always hidden on stage, we don't usually get the chance to get to know them all that well. When Alex Gaskarth finally moves over on stage, we are all stoked that we get to see smiley Rian Dawson (drummer) of All Time Low. In honor of All Time Low's album release Nothing Personal, we were pretty anxious to get personal with Rian (the hidden guy on stage).

Buzznet: Do you have a bathroom routine?

Rian: Definitely!! Here goes!! One: Stumble into the bathroom, possibly stubbing my toe on the way.  Two: Go Pee Pee. Three: Splash the coldest water possible on to my face. Four: Brush my teeth. Five: Listerine until it hurts. Six: COFFEE

Buzznet: Who was your first kiss?  How old were you?  Where were you?

Rian: Haha, this is a funny one.  I was actually in 8th grade when I had my first kiss.  I was at a dance that my school held every Friday, and the song "Wait and Bleed" by Slipknot was playing.  I was, somehow, slow dancing with my girlfriend to the song and WHAM! I thought I was the man.  I was so off.

Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom?  Posters? Artwork?

Rian: I'm pretty into a good-looking, well-organized room.  I had a framed poster of Billy Joel's album art for River of Dreams in my room for a while, but I left it in my room at my mom's house.  Right now I'm really into Peter Lik... but damn they are expensive.

Buzznet: Do you have any fetishes? Any pet-peeves? 

Rian: Weird! I don't think I have any fetishes...fetishi. I hate it however, when people use improper grammer.  Especially when they say 'good' instead of 'well'. I'm known for doing the following:  Show Goer: "Rian you played so good tonight!!" Me (douchebag): "Aww thanks so much....but I played well, not good"  I also hate it when people are rude.

Buzznet: What is the first quality you look for in the opposite sex?

Rian: I guess this means physical attraction? I would definitely say teeth, I need nice white teeth or else I'm running for the hills!

Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?

Rian: Boxer Breifs. that is all.  Maybe an old XL Anti Flag shirt that I have laying around if its cold.

Buzznet: Do you have a nickname? 

Rian: RiGuy, RiBread, Riri, Ri Daw, Dawson

Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?

Rian: My first job was cutting lawns at a Racket Club.  Then I switched to working at Ritas Italian Ice, where I stayed for three years. Yumm!  My least favorite job was working as a construction assistant.  Destroying bathrooms is fun at first..but man it gets old

Buzznet: If you could be in the Summer Olympics which sport would you compete in? And why?

Rian: Ooo this is a good one.  I think the High Jump. This white boy has got ups.

Buzznet: What song do you know every word to, but are totally embarrassed that you know so well? 

Rian: I have always loved O-Town - All or Nothing.  Man that key change at the end melts hearts.

Buzznet: Which era do you most wish you lived in and why? 

Rian: Right now.  I love my life, and I wouldn't want it any other way.  Although I wish I could call people 'mac' like they do in the Mafia movies

Buzznet: Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body? 

Rian: I now have two new scars on my head from when Alex hit me with a breakaway mug for the video of 'Damned.' Don't let them fool you...those breakaways draw blood!

Buzznet: If we gave you sourdough bread and you could put anything on your sandwich what would it be? 

Rian: Mayonnaise! I am absurdly obsessed with it. Gross.

Buzznet: When you hear the word “oatmeal” what is the very first thing that comes to your mind? 

Rian: The quaker oats guy.  He seems like he would have good stories to tell to his grandchildren.  Something about hunting with foxes and dogs I would presume.
