"Paper Heart" Reminds You That Love Is Out There
To say you have a paper heart immediatley implies to me that you are vulnerable, that is the person with the paper heart. The positive side of the movie titled "Paper Heart" is that a vulnerable heart means you are subject to love. The kind of love you find when you least expect it?

Or the kind of love you find when you are creating a documentary on love? The irony is (because you can't leave out irony), that Charlyne Yi (the writer, executive producer) believes is this concept "where is love, I don't feel love" conceptsomething you the creator believes you don't feel.
You can ask yourself, have you been in love? Do you have love for someone? Do you love? But, the movie is not at all that deep. "Paper Heart" is pretty plain and simple in letting you know, that love is out there. It's in the air. It's on the playground (which by the way is a great scene). It's in Paris.
We are humans and love is in our nature. So is hurt. So is confusion. So is aloneness.
Can you imagine the weight you would carry if you had a paper thin heart?
Watch the trailer. If you have not already seen this preview in theatres then you are not making it out to enough indie films.
"Paper Heart" hits theatres August 14th.
Go see it and then come back and answer me, are you touched?
P.S. - Don't go see this movie because you adore Michael Cera. Don't expect to think too much. Don't expect a Kate Hudson quality chick flick. It's a bit indie, a bit DIY, a bit real, a bit adorable and funny at times.
