Behind Closed Doors: Think About Eric Halvorsen Of A Rocket To The Moon In His Underwear

In honor of the release A Rocket To The Moon's new album On Your Side, we have caught up with the best looking bassist blogging on Buzznet, none other then Eric Halvorsen. Eric has so kindly taken us Behind Closed Doors and taught us all about his foot fetish and his pet-peeve for bad manners at the movies.

Buzznet: Do you have a morning bathroom routine? If so what does it entail from when you get out of bed until you are dressed for the day?

Eric: Well I usually wake up and lay in bed for way too long. I usually take that time to think about life, haha. Then, if I'm home I eat some breakfast, usually cereal with some yogurt. Then I turn on some music and hop in the shower, brush my teeth, get my hair did, get dressed and start my day.

Buzznet: Who was your first kiss?

Eric: My first kiss was with my fifth grade girlfriend Brittney, if you want to call her my girlfriend. We were hanging out at the park with all of our friends and it was pretty awkward haha.

Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom?

Eric: I just kind of moved into my dads house at the last second before I left for my first tour and I never really took the time to hang anything. I do have a sweet AP tour poster though that AP gave us all as gifts. I had everyone from the tour sign it and then my dad framed it for me so that is pretty rad.

Buzznet: Do you have any fetishes? Any pet-peeves?

Eric: I have a huge feet fetish. Haha no just kidding I don't have any fetishes. That's weird. I have a couple of pet peeves though, bad drivers, people talking while I'm watching a movie or a show, and when fans leave their camera on video mode before we try to take a picture together, cut that out haha!

Buzznet: What is the first quality you look for in the opposite sex?

Eric: Hahaha BMI? Body mass index? Hmm, I guess I am attracted to a girls eyes, lips and smile first. 

Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?

Eric: Just my undies!

Buzznet: Do you have a nickname?

Eric: I have a ton of nicknames, Halvo is the most popular one I guess. Max, The Maine's tm prefers to call me Ramses, like the Egyptian god or whatever. That's definitely my favorite nickname out there.

Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?

Eric: My first job was at a childrens fun center called Makutus Island. I had to dress in a giant purple panther costume and do the conga line with little kids. It was a growing experience. My worst job was definitely at this scam telemarketing place called blue green time shares. I had to call and hassle people for two weeks before I finally decided that wasn't the right job for me.

Buzznet: If you could be in the Summer Olympics which sport would you compete in? Any why?

Eric: Probably the weight lifting competitions for obvious reasons...

Buzznet: What song do you know every word to, but are totally embarrassed that you know so well?

Eric: Hmm well my sister used to listen to some really terrible music when we were growing up so I know a ton. 'All My Life' by KC and Jojo was her and her boyfriends song at one point and she would listen to it on repeat over and over again. I would kill that song on kareokee though.

Buzznet: Which era do you most wish you lived in and why?

Eric: Probably the sixties, so much great music and such a pivotal point in history for making change. I would have loved to have been a part of that.

Buzznet: Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body?

Eric: I have a bunch of scars from growing up riding bmx and skating but I have four on my right hand across my knuckles from when I fell on my skateboard on the Santa Monica pier which I actually filmed on the Buzznet phone. Good times indeed.

Buzznet: If we gave you sourdough bread and you could put anything on your sandwich what would it be? 

Eric: Probably turkey, green peppers, tomatoes, some balsamic vinegar, portabello mushroom, grilled asparagus, and some sun dried tomato mayo. That's modeled off the best sandwich I have ever had in Madison, Wi.

Buzznet: When you hear the word “oatmeal” what is the very first thing that comes to your mind?

Eric: I lived off oatmeal and ramen at one point in college when I was beyond broke. Not much has changed haha.
